An Offer I Could Not Refuse - Part 14

After taking a week off, here is another snippet from my free story. I apologize for the typos last week. I caught them when doing a self-edit. Hopefully I don't miss anything this week!  You can follow the story here.  Raviele Never in my existence had I felt the bliss I enjoyed right now. My lover for all eternity, feeding from me as he should be. I’d dreamt of this for years, decades, centuries even. Finally, my chile was seeing the beauty and appreciating the gift given to him. In all honesty, I thought it would take longer. However, I am pleasantly surprised that his change of heart was swift. “Leave me be!” Aaron growled. Hearing my chile’s voice, my eyes flung open and I looked down at my lover. “Aaron?” “Sorry. I…” Aaron’s lips were stained with blood. So gorgeous and delicious, however, I could tell something troubled him. “Forgive me, my love. My Ravi. I was being disturbed by my father’s spirit. He tried to convince me to kill you, but I refused.” “I see.” I pulled my arm back and buttoned my sleeve. “I am surprised I could not feel the hunter. My vampire sensibilities must’ve been clouded by pleasure.” I moved slightly to get off Aaron’s lap, but he grasped my waist, stopping my progress. “No, Ravi. Please. I’m sorry he disturbed our moment.” Aaron reached up, cradling my face in his hands. “Make love to me, Raviele.” The words I’ve wanted to hear forever filled my ears. As much as I wished to do as Aaron asked, I could not. My meeting would occur in about an hour. Besides that, the knowledge of the hunter’s ghost lurking in my dwelling set me on edge. Unfortunately, I had no powers to do away with spirits. “I’m sorry, lover. I cannot. When I return from my video conference, I am all yours.” Aaron appeared disappointed. Despite that, he rose from the bed, until he was only inches away from me. “Make sure that you do, lover. Perhaps after that we can eat?” “Yes, of course. As a new vampire, you need real sustenance. Once you grow older, you won’t want to feed as much and you can use the products I’ve developed. Now, we will find you a live human to snack from or to drain, whichever you desire.” Aaron grinned and leaned in to softly kiss my lips. “That sounds like a great idea.” Aaron dragged his long nails across my jawline. “Although you fed me, I could go for more.” I hissed and pulled his hand to my lips, kissing it lightly. Aaron’s claws against my flesh were a big distraction. I could not be sidetracked right now because business called. “Yes you can, my beloved. I will be back shortly. Sleep now. New vamps need their rest.” “Maybe, but I’m looking forward to spending time alone with you. Hurry back.” I yanked him into me and kissed him hard. I held his head in my hands, caressing the back of it. “I will, my sweet. No worries there.” Aaron Watching Raviele leave, I instantly felt the loss of his body on top of mine. Despite the short amount of time that I’d been turned, I was able to read his thoughts. I could tell my story about my father’s visit worried him. On top of that, I’m sure he didn’t trust me. After all, I did try to kill him at first. However, the more I’d thought about leaving him, the sadder I’d become. My heart was treacherous. I was attracted to his power and the mystery. It was why I didn’t try that hard to leave. Yes, I panicked in the beginning, but now I was absolutely positive this was where I want to be. Although I was in love, a part of me did feel that sense of loss from my father. Now that I’d told him to leave me, I might never see his face again. Not only that, my family would banish me for sure. I’d betrayed the hunter creed by becoming like the enemy. I was already sort of an outsider since I didn’t join the resistance. They’d never understand and that was okay. Ultimately, I was where I’d always desired to be. In the arms of my boss, my vampire, my lover for all eternity, Raviele Garland. * * * * Hope you enjoyed.
